Renee Loccisano of Cairns has secured a job in marketing after completing a Bachelor of Communications at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Renee 23, who graduated from USC on Thursday 3 October, is now working as a marketing and office administrator at the Kawana office of Smith and Sons Renovations and Extensions, Queensland.
The former Trinity Bay State High School student said she was thrilled with the new position and was enjoying putting her marketing skills to the test.
“I am responsible for maintaining and implementing the marketing for the 15 Smith and Sons franchises in Queensland,” she said.
“It is incredibly rewarding to be putting into practice all the skills I developed at USC by looking after the company’s print media, social media and website content.”
Renee said she had enjoyed USC’s relaxed atmosphere and ‘hands-on’ approach to learning.
“USC provided the ideal environment for me to develop a diverse range of skills and experience which would prepare me for the transition from university to the workplace,” she said
“I chose to study at USC because I wanted to have a balanced Sunshine Coast lifestyle. Its proximity to the beach, the state-of-the-art campus facilities and the on-campus accommodation made it the perfect choice for me.
“All my USC tutors and lecturers made an effort to get to know me as a student and the support and guidance they offered throughout my studies has contributed to my success.”
