About 200 families seeking help from the Salvation Army’s Maroochydore office this Christmas will benefit from the donations of staff from USC.
USC Human Resources Director Mark Nugent handed about 20 gift and food hampers and a cheque to the Salvation Army’s Dennis McGuigan on Friday for the organisation’s Christmas Appeal.
Mr Nugent said many of the donations, including about $1,000 in cash, were collected at the recent USC Staff Swimming Carnival which attracted about 70 swimmers and 150 spectators.
The second annual swimming carnival also raised plenty of community spirit and friendly rivalry between costumed teams from different disciplines.
