USC will expand its annual Options Q&A event to a full-day format on Friday 19 December in response to demand from prospective students.
Eight hundred people attended the 2013 Options evening, including school leavers, family members and mature-aged students.
USC Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator Cindy O’Connell encouraged people to drop in to the USC Sippy Downs campus any time between 9am and 5pm on 19 December to get one-on-one advice about enrolling to study in 2015.
Campus tours will also be held at 12pm and 4pm.
“USC staff will be available to chat about QTAC preferences, study programs, the admissions process, fees and scholarships,” she said.
Guests will be welcomed at a marquee on the grassed area outside Building C and directed by student ambassadors to their area of interest in buildings across campus.
Seminars on “surviving the first year of uni” will be held in that building’s Lecture Theatre 7.
“Just before Christmas is an important time for prospective students making decisions about next year, with OP scores for Year 12s out on 20 December,” Ms O’Connell said.
“The Options Q&A event will help people reconfirm their study choices, get the finer details, or gain inspiration to study at USC next year.
“University staff will also be available on Monday 22 December, Tuesday 23 December and Wednesday 24 December for further queries.”
