Orientation Week at the University of the Sunshine Coast is now in full swing with thousands of students joining in USC’s two-day New Semester Fiesta.
Yesterday, crowds wearing colourful sombreros enjoyed live music, market stalls, free popcorn and plenty of fun activities while familiarising themselves with the USC campus at Sippy Downs.
Teams of new students took part in an "Amazing Race" style competition, which involved a range of fun challenges throughout the day, and there was a good turn-up for the Orientation Launch Party.
The second day of the New Semester Fiesta today (Wednesday 26 February) will feature more live music and entertainment, information about interest groups and sporting teams on campus, giant board games, inflatable fun activities like Twister and Sticky Wall, and creative arts activities.
A pool party at USC's 50m swimming pool from 4pm and twilight cinema from 6-9pm are set to be popular events on today's program.
