USC connection: Studying a Bachelor of Primary Education

Buderim para-cyclist Kyle Bridgwood competed in four events at his debut Paralympics.

Kyle has picked up two world titles in the past year, winning the Scratch Race (C4) at the 2016 UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships, as well as a gold in the Men’s C4 Time Trial at the same event in 2015.

The former Australian Army Private took up para-cycling just three years ago, after being seriously injured when he was struck head-on by a car in 2011.

Kyle, who was named the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Sportsperson of the Year for 2015, won silver medals in the time trial (C4) and track pursuit (C4) at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.
