Taylor McKeown booked her ticket to Rio in decisive fashion at the Australian Swimming Championships, recording two personal best times.
After achieving Olympic qualification in the 100m Breaststroke, Taylor recorded a blistering time of 1:07.94 in the 200m Breaststroke – the second fastest time ever set by an Australian woman, bested only by Olympic legend Leisel Jones.
The Buderim swimmer, who has been coached by Chris Mooney since 2002, will also represent Australia in the Women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay.
With a Commonwealth Games gold medal already under her belt in the 200m Breaststroke, Taylor’s sights are set on a podium finish at her debut Olympics.
