Secretary, USC Law Students' Association, 2014 and 2015
I'm currently studying Law / Commerce at the University of the Sunshine Coast, and highly recommend USC to prospective students because its Law program offers a combination of support, teaching quality and opportunities. The small student cohort means I have a personal learning experience with both my teaching staff and colleagues who I'll know throughout and beyond my degree, rather than being just another face in the crowd.
The teaching quality is exceptional, and there are many ways I can extend my learning. These include the Legal Clinic program where I work face-to-face with real clients and volunteer community lawyers from the Suncoast Community Legal Service. This also allows me to apply classroom content to the real deal while also developing other legal skills, an opportunity not offered elsewhere.
The cohort size is also beneficial because there are countless opportunities for additional involvement including USC Law Students' Association, mooting, Model-UN and social events.
