USC offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate education degrees that can lead to a teaching career in childcare centres, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.
Education programs include four-year undergraduate degrees in secondary, primary and early childhood education, graduate-entry program in primary education; graduate certificate, graduate diplomas and master’s degrees in education and an active PhD program.
Our secondary education double degrees give you the opportunity to develop teaching skills and curriculum content knowledge. With many combinations of teaching areas available at USC, you can follow your passions and specialise in teaching areas such as English, geography, history, drama, biology, chemistry and mathematics.

If you already have a completed 3 year degree such as a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, you can use this as a stepping stone to a teaching degree. USC's graduate-entry program in primary education can qualify you as a teacher.
USC has a close working relationship with regional and remote primary and secondary schools to give students the practical experience they need.
According to QILT (Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching), 85.7% of USC teacher education graduates are full-time employed – one of the highest rankings of all Australian public universities.
