Understanding how Civil Engineers obtain work is essential for those in private practice as well as their clients, and enhances the probability of success. The course focuses on best practice in contracts management and administration. You explore the procurement (tendering) process; the structure of contracts and options available; the relationship between the parties; and interpretation of the contract clauses and requirements. You learn how to prepare and evaluate tender responses, and contracts to carry out work. The course is based on the AS4000 suite of contracts for Australian clients.
