Australia's Biggest Morning Tea: Not all heroes wear capes

When: Thursday, 18 May

Time: 10AM - 12PM

Location: Building C, LT7

Cost: $5 donation - covers morning tea & entry - all proceeds go towards the Cancer Council's Relay For Life fundraiser

This event is open to all USC students & staff.

Morning tea will be followed by presentations from three (3) special guest speakers:

  • Former USC Chancellor, John Dobson OAM - cancer survivor
  • Corporal Jason Hatcher, Australian Military - cancer survivor
  • Mr. Ashley Brown - 22 year old cancer survivor

Each guest speaker will talk about their cancer journey and how it changed their lives.

The theme of the event is "Not all heroes wear capes." The focus will be on cancer in men, particularly young men.

  • "It doesn't matter how young, tough, or healthy you think you are"
