What is graduation?

Graduation is the formal process of conferring (awarding) your degree. It marks your successful transition from student to graduate.

Students who have completed all of the requirements for their degree but have not had their degree conferred are referred to as 'graduands'.

Once your degree is conferred you become a 'graduate' and a member of USC Alumni. You are then entitled to use post-nominal letters to reference your qualification.

Invitation to attend

Invitations are sent to eligible graduands about six weeks before the ceremony. They will include the date and times of the ceremony you are allocated, depending on your program. Once you have received your invitation, please confirm your attendance by responding to the RSVP.

Graduate in October

The October ceremonies are for those students approved to have successfully completed the requirements of their program at the end of Study Period 1, 2015. Find out more at Get ready to graduate.
