When you graduate will depend on when you finish the requirements for your degree program. USC Graduations are held twice each year in April and September. All graduation correspondence is sent to your student email address, so please ensure that you check it regularly.
Graduate in April 2017
The April ceremonies are for those students who successfully completed the requirements of their program at the end of Study Period 2, 2016.
Your graduation checklist
- Check your eligibility
You can check your graduation status anytime by going to the Program tab in USC Central. Check your program and personal details carefully to ensure you will complete your study with the correct degree name and degree requirements. Contact Student Central immediately if the information does not match your expectations.
- Pay outstanding fees and return Library items
If you have any outstanding fees or library loans you may not be able to graduate or receive your degree certificate.
Check your financial status on USC Central and pay all outstanding fees or charges.
Return any Library items to the Library Loans Desk at least four weeks prior to your graduation ceremony date.
- Receive your Statement of Completion
After your final results are released a Statement of Completion will be sent to your current postal address. This confirms you are eligible to graduate.
The Statement of Completion can be used as proof of your degree status with employers until you receive your official degree certificate at graduation.
Contact Student Central if you have not received a Statement of Completion and believe you are eligible to graduate.
- Agree to Terms and Conditions
By registering to attend graduation, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
- I have checked my name, postal and email addresses on USC Central and confirm they are correct.
- I have reviewed my Financial Status on USC Central and all outstanding fees or charges have been paid.
- I have returned all Library items and have no unpaid library fines.
- I understand that I will be videoed and photographed during the day and that the ceremony is streamed live on the USC website and will remain viewable after this date.
- I understand that USC reserves the right to refuse entry to the venue.
Your graduation invitation
Your invitation will be emailed to your student email account six weeks before the ceremony. You must register to attend graduation by following the link in the invitation. Registration confirms your attendance, orders your academic dress and secures tickets for your guests. Graduation registrations are managed by Reed Graduations.
The date and time of your graduation ceremony is allocated according to your program of study and will be included in your invitation. You can also check which ceremony you'll be attending here.
At the time of registration you will need to pay your graduation fee of $99. This covers the cost of academic dress hire.
You are allocated four (4) complimentary guest tickets for your family and friends. More tickets may be released closer to the ceremonies depending on availability. You can check the availability of additional tickets by following the registration link in your invitation the week prior to the ceremonies.
Can't make it to graduation?
If you are unable to attend your graduation ceremony or do not register by the due date, your graduation documents will be posted to your current mailing address within 10 working days of the graduation ceremony.
