Whether you are yet to start your uni studies, have just enrolled in your USC undergraduate program or have already been studying for a while, USC offers university preparation and support programs to get you on track.
University skills for the community
Thinking about returning to university study? Before you apply come along to our free tertiary taster 5 week course, University skills for the community. The course is taught by USC Academic Skills and Career Advisers and is especially designed for adults of all ages who have not undertaken formal study for some years, or who did not finish high school.
Tertiary Preparation Pathway
If you are unable to gain entry to university through QTAC without first gaining additional qualifications, the Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) can provide an alternative entry pathway. If you already qualify for entry, TPP can upgrade your skills and knowledge to get you on track to succeeding in your university studies.
Pre-semester skills preparation modules
Brush up on your academic writing, study and proofreading skills offered as Pre-semester skills preparation modules before and during your first semester of study.
Tertiary Enabling Program
The Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP) is an option if you are already enrolled in an undergraduate degree and want to brush up on your skills in a particular content area, such as chemistry, maths or biology. Enabling courses are taught before the start of semester (with ongoing weekly tutorials) on campus at Sippy Downs
Tertiary Support Option (TSO)
The Tertiary Support Option (TSO) assists undergraduate students to successfully progress in their studies. Students who have already undertaken one semester of full/part-time study would benefit most from this option. However, some students in their first semester of study may benefit from a TSO course. Also, students experiencing challenges further into their undergraduate program, for example with Maths or Chemistry course content, may benefit from undertaking a relevant TSO course.
