Check the commencing program structure:Check the commencing program structure and the current recommended study sequence – you should follow these when enrolling. The program structure shows the courses, total unit value and requirements for your degree, including any mandatory majors and/or minors*. You must pass these courses and meet the program requirements to be eligible to graduate.
Read your program requirements, rules and notes carefully:Scroll to the bottom of the page and carefully read your program requirements, rules and notes. You can download this page as a PDF using the button at the bottom of the page. We recommend you download and save the PDF to refer to in future study planning. If you need advice contact Student Central.
Follow your recommended study sequence when enrolling:Enrol in your courses in the order shown in your recommended study sequence (3-4 courses is full-time, 1-2 courses is part-time) if you have not received any course credit from previous study. Keep in mind studying less than four courses per study period will extend the normal duration of your program.
If you have completed previous tertiary study relevant to your program at USC you can apply for credittoward your study.
Also, recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available for knowledge and learning obtained through informal studies or work-related learning.
Apply for credit as soon as possible, as it can take a number of weeks to be processed. For more information, refer to Credit and recognition of prior learning.
To help you plan your enrolment with credit follow the Planning your studyinstructions.
Already received credit from previous studies?
If you have received course credit from previous studies, view the Academic calendar to check the cut-off dates to add, swap or drop classes for each study period. To map out your future enrolment refer to the Planning your study page and your recommended study sequence. This will enable you to manage your progress throughout your degree to suit your needs.
Most undergraduate programs allow students to select a major and/or minor area of study. Refer to your program requirements on the 'What will I study?' tab on your program page to see if you are eligible or required to undertake a major and/or minor. If you are required to select a major and/or minor you should do so as soon as possible as this may impact your ability to complete your program in the minimum time. Register your Major and/or Minor (see below) as soon as you have made your selection. Some programs have majors/minors already built-in.
As a Study Abroad or Exchange student you will have received advice from USC International regarding the courses you have been approved to enrol in.
If you have not yet chosen your courses, or would like to select additional courses, refer to the Study Abroad course choice list. Send your new course selection to choose the courses you need email@example.com approval.
Once you have finalised your course selection move onto the next step - Enrol in your courses and classes.
