Step 1: Respond to your offer for Postgraduate study

Breadcrumbs

After receiving your offer email you must accept or decline your offer via USC Central as soon as possible. If you do not respond before the start of the study period in which you were made an offer, your offer may lapse.

USC Central is the online self-service system you use to manage your enrolment and personal details. This includes responding to your offer, enrolling in your classes, updating your personal information and viewing your financial details, grades and exam timetables.

You can also view the Respond to your offer demonstration video in the USC Central Guide.

Click on one of the response options below for instructions:

Accept your offer

  1. Log in to USC Central using the username and password provided in your letter of offer. Follow the prompts to accept your offer.
  2. Graduate Diploma in Education QTAC Applicants must also respond directly to QTAC by the date specified. To do so, login to QTAC's Application Services using the email address and password that you used to create your QTAC account. If you miss the QTAC response date, it may be possible to reinstate your offer, contact Student Central.

After you have accepted your offer you must complete all items in your compulsory To-Do Items list.

Your offer letter will state whether you have been offered a Fee paying or Commonwealth supported place:

You can choose to either pay your fees up front or defer them to a FEE-HELP loan, if eligible. You request FEE-HELP by completing your FEE-HELP electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF) and entering your Tax File Number (TFN) in USC Central by the Fee due date.

The FEE-HELP Commonwealth Assistance Form is included in your compulsory To-Do Items. If you choose to pay your fees up front, choose the 'Decline HELP' option.

Australian citizens and Permanent Humanitarian visa holders must complete the Student Services and Amenities Form (eSAF) in your To-Do Items list.

Prior to completing the eSAF and the Request for FEE-HELP assistance form please refer to the following information to understand your financial obligations:

You must have a Tax File Number (TFN) to complete these forms. If you do not have a TFN, urgently complete an application at the Australian Tax Office (ATO). You must supply Student Central with a copy of your TFN Application Summary and the receipt Australia Post issued when you provided your proof of identity. You can still fill out the eCAF and eSAF, but will be reminded to supply your TFN on your To Do List in USC Central.

All students in a Commonwealth supported place must complete the Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF). Australian citizens and Permanent Humanitarian visa holders must also complete the Student Services and Amenities Form (eSAF).

Prior to completing the eCAF and eSAF please refer to the following information to understand your financial obligations:

If you choose to defer your fees to a HELP loan you must have a Tax File Number (TFN) to complete these forms. Your TFN must be supplied by the fee due date.
