Your student email and Blackboard account access will be activated within 24 hours after you enrol in your courses.
Your student email and the Blackboard are two student systems you will use regularly during your studies.
Your student email is the main tool used to communicate important information to you from your enrolment and fees to campus news and events and other notices. Your course lecturers and tutors will contact you via your student email as well. From the time you have enrolled in your courses you will receive important emails. It is recommended to check your student email regularly to stay informed.
Consider forwarding your student emails to your personal email account to access important student notifications conveniently.
To learn more about your USC student email refer to IT services for students.
How do I log in to my student email?
The day after you accept your offer via USC Central you will have access to Blackboard, the learning management system you will use to:
- online study materials for lectures and tutorials
- student announcements and notifications
- information resources including course readings
- discussion boards and forums (eg buy-sell, study, chat)
Attend the Blackboard workshops held during Orientation to USC to get a head start understanding how it all works.
Your course materials will be made available by your course coordinator the week before classes commence.
Students with a smartphone can download the Blackboard Mobile app from their App Store (select University of the Sunshine Coast).
How do I log in to Blackboard?
From the USC homepage footer menu select Login > Blackboard, or sign in directly via Blackboard using the username provided in your email offer and your new password (as changed in the previous step). Explore your courses under the My Courses tab, access your Course Outlines and view student notifications.
