Visa information

    Students may be eligible to apply for a Post-Study Work Rights visa under the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) if:

    • The student applied for and was granted their first Student visa on or after 5 November 2011; and
    • The student completes an eligible qualification from an Australian university; and
    • The student meets the two (2) year Australian study requirement.

    The duration of the Post-Study Work Rights visa under the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)  will depend on the level of qualification achieved. A visa in this stream can be granted from two to four years, depending on the qualification.
