Overview

The Indigenous Academic Mentoring program (IAM) provides additional tuition and mentoring assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in a program of study at the University of the Sunshine Coast. IAM focuses on strengthening students’ ability to learn, study and research.

Student responsibilities

IAM students will:

  • bring all study material to each IAM session eg. course outline, semester timetable, course reader
  • complete the learning plan with the Learning Skills Mentor to determine study needs for each course
  • complete the evaluation forms during semester
  • sign IAM Mentor timesheets and attendance form after each mentoring session
