Professor Tim Smith


Professor Tim Smith is the Director of USC’s Sustainability Research Centre. Professor Smith was formerly a senior research scientist with CSIRO and has experience in local and state government and private industry. He has led numerous research projects relating to sustainability, has authored more than 150 publications in the area, and has delivered keynote addresses globally on sustainability research. He currently leads the Institutions Work Package of the Global Challenges Project: Climate Change and Water Governance, and the Socio-Economic Vulnerability Theme of the Climate Change Adaptation for Natural Resource Management in East Coast Australia project.
