Bachelor of Recreation and Outdoor Environmental Studies
USC is the only university in Queensland to offer a specialised Bachelor of Recreation and Outdoor Environmental Studies. In this brand-new degree you’ll learn how to manage recreation events and programs from development to delivery. You’ll also discover how to engage with the community, lead expeditions and help people reconnect with nature. Get active while you study with more than 25 outdoor environmental studies fieldwork days on Fraser Island and the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Bachelor of Education (Secondary) / Bachelor of Recreation and Outdoor Environmental Studies
Want to teach outdoor education? The Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Recreation and Outdoor Environmental Studies prepares you to teach Years 7-12 in health and physical education and another teaching area of your choice. You could also pursue a career in outdoor/environmental education centres, adventure tourism and ecotourism. USC is the only university in Queensland to offer this dual program.
Bachelor of Sports Studies
Passionate about sport? The Bachelor of Sports Studies is your pathway to a career in sporting event management and national or community sport development. You’ll combine the foundations of sport science – including exercise testing and measurement, coaching science, functional anatomy and biomechanics – with a complementary study area such as tourism, leisure and event management; journalism, marketing; small business management; or outdoor leadership studies
