University Research Conference 2010
USC hosts an annual research conference, the University Research Conference.
In 2010, the event was held on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 November at the University of the Sunshine Coast's Sippy Downs campus. Please refer below for a copy of the 2010 University Research Conference program and registration details.
The University Research Conference aims to:
- build research capacity
- strengthen the University's research culture
- provide opportunities to engage Early Career Researchers and Higher Degree by Research students in research forums with supervisors and other academics
- focus on collegial peer interaction
- provide opportunities for research leadership
- provide access to research mentors and research resources;
- generate mentoring opportunities and networks across the University
- disseminate research outcomes to the University community
The University Research Conference is an initiative of the Research Management Committee and is managed on behalf of the Committee by the Office of Research. The Office of Research receives advice from the Academic Advisory Group on academic aspects of the Conference.
The Academic Advisory Group comprises of the Chair, the Chair of the Research Management Committee, a Professor or Associate Professor from each Faculty who is well-regarded for their research, a representative from the University's research group and research centres, an Early Career Researcher or Higher Degree by Research candidate, the Research Services Coordinator within the Library, and the Manager of the Office of Research.
