How to accept your offer

Current QTAC applicants

The University of the Sunshine Coast has two intakes each year: the major intake in February and a smaller mid-year intake in July. Several offer rounds occur within each of these intakes.

After an offer round, you can find out if you will receive an offer and respond to that offer by using the QTAC Current Applicant online service. Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) will also make contact with you by email and SMS. Additionally, you will receive a separate offer package from the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Step 1

You must respond to your offer through QTAC by the specified date in your email. If you do not respond to a QTAC offer by the lapse date you may lose your offer. The QTAC response options available to you include:

  • accept, defer or reject your offer outright and no longer be considered for other preferences
  • accept, defer or reject on the condition that you will still be considered for existing higher preferences
  • accept, defer or reject on the condition that you will be considered for new higher preferences

You can find more information about the response options in the QTAC Offer and Response Information Sheet. Please note that if you conditionally accept an offer and are subsequently offered a higher preference, you forfeit the right to enrol in the preference previously offered.

Step 2

You must also respond to the offer package from the University of the Sunshine Coast on USC Central to indicate whether you accept, defer or reject your offer. Follow the steps in the Getting Started Guide to respond to your offer.

Your USC username and password will be provided in the USC offer package that you will receive a few days after offers are released by QTAC.

Please note: Your enrolment must be completed on USC Central by the end of Week 2 of the semester.

Step 3

Ensure that you have responded to both QTAC and to the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Your USC username and password will be provided in your USC offer package.

Please note: Your enrolment must be completed on USC Central by the end of Week 2 of the semester.
