How to apply
The application process to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) will vary depending on your program, course or student status:
1. Program of study
The study options at USC are many. See the career guide for the appropriate degree to meet your career path or search our courses and programs information.
USC offers various undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs, as well as study options for international students, bridging study (Tertiary Preparation Pathway), research higher degrees, honours study and the Headstart program.

2. Apply
Applying online through QTAC is one pathway in to USC.
- Prior study and work experience can be considered as part of your application to USC
- QTAC applications allow you to list six preferences of preferred study choices.
- Order your study preferences for the best possible offer: preferences 1 and 2 are ideal, 3 and 4 are alternatives, 5 and 6 are more flexible entry options that you can upgrade from, later on.
Apply directly to USC for postgraduate study with the exception of the Graduate Diploma in Education.

Headstart students, visiting students and cross-institutional students apply direct to USC.

3. Scholarships
Explore the government and USC scholarships on offer.
Applications for many scholarships close around October / November, before you receive your university offer, so apply early.
4. Accept
Confirm your offer with QTAC (if applicable) and USC.

Most undergraduate students are eligible to defer, with your place held for up to two years.
