This day is essential for all commencing Headstart students. You will attend a welcome and information session, receive your student ID card, go on a campus tour, attend library and information technology sessions and learn about the skills and support services essential for your success at USC. NB: Please bring photo ID or letter of introduction from your school. |

Orientation—all students
In addition to the compulsory Headstart Orientation Session, Headstart students are invited to attend the range of Orientation activities available to all students during Orientation week. Use the all student orientation timetable and plan your Orientation week.
Tuition fees
You can access and print your online invoice via USCCentral by clicking on Menu, Finances, View my Account.
Your invoice will be sent to your student email account only and will outline the A$400 fee and your payment options. The due date for payment each semester is the Friday of week three of classes. Your enrolment will be cancelled if payment is not received by the due date. This means that you will no longer be eligible to take part in the Headstart program.

Textbooks
You can find out which textbooks you need by accessing the Co-op Bookshop website and clicking on the relevant university, semester and subject code. The textbook list will also be available at the Co-op Bookshop. Please note that the textbook list is usually available approximately 3 weeks prior to commencement of classes.

The USC Portal provides a central location where you can access study materials or other information relevant to your studies.
Academic calendar
Please download the 2012 academic calendar and note the key dates (eg orientation, census, breaks, exams) in your student diary.
Commencement of classes
The Academic Calendar displays a list of important dates is recommended for students to plan their semester and class and Semester 1 Classes commence in the week beginning Monday 20 February 2012.
