Honorary Awards
Doctor of the University
An honorary award of Doctor of the University may be made to a person in recognition of excellence and extraordinary achievement in a significant area of human endeavour.
Senior Fellow
An honorary award of Senior Fellow may be made to a person in recognition of a significant and sustained contribution to the development of the University or of the Sunshine Coast region.
Chancellor's Medal
A Chancellor's Medal may be awarded to a graduating student from either an undergraduate or postgraduate program, who has made a distinguished contribution to University life and/or the community, as well as demonstrating high academic achievement.
To be eligible for consideration the student must have undertaken at least two-thirds of their program of study at the University.
Nominations for a Chancellor's Medal may be made by any member of the University community, other than the student concerned, and forwarded to Student Administration.
If you would like to nominate a graduating student for this medal please complete the Nomination Form for Chancellor's Medal 2012 (PDF 25KB). You will need to give details on your nominee's academic performance and describe their contribution to University life and/or the Community.

Vice-Chancellor's Medals
Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding University Teacher
The Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding University Teacher is an annual award presented to a member of University staff in recognition of demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding University Researcher
The Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding University Researcher is an annual award presented to a member of University staff in recognition of demonstrated excellence in research.
Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Service (Administrative, Technical and Professional)
The Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Service (Administrative, Technical and Professional) is an annual award presented to a member of the University's administrative, technical and professional staff in recognition of demonstrated excellence in service to the University.
Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Service (Teaching and Research)
The Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Service (Teaching and Research) is an annual award presented to a member of the University's teaching and research staff in recognition of demonstrated excellence in service to the University.
University Medal
A University Medal may be awarded to graduating students enrolled in a three or four year Bachelor's degree, in recognition of academic excellence. To be eligible a student must have undertaken at least 192 unit points at the University and must have achieved a final Cumulative Grade Point Average of 6.80 or more (refer to Grades and Grade Point Average (GPA) Institutional Operating Policy).
Faculty Medals
A Faculty Medal may be awarded to graduating students enrolled in a three or four year Bachelor's degree, in recognition of academic excellence. To be eligible a student must have undertaken at least 192 unit points at the University and must have achieved a final Cumulative Grade Point Average of 6.60 to 6.79 (refer to Grades and Grade Point Average (GPA) Institutional Operating Policy).
