USC offers Academic English programs at intermediate or upper intermediate levels.

Our NEAS accredited programs are taught by experienced, TESOL-qualified English language teachers.

Entry requirements

DEEP Stage 1 (Intermediate)

IELTS Preparation / Intermediate
One of the following (or approved equivalent):
  • Overall IELTS score of 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 in each subtest) or
  • Paper based TOEFL 500 TWE 3 (or equivalent) or
  • Internet based TOEFL (IBT) 59
DEEP Stage 2 (Upper Intermediate)

IELTS Preparation / Upper Intermediate
One of the following (or approved equivalent):
  • Overall IELTS score of 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest) or
  • Paper based TOEFL 525 TWE 3.5 or
  • Internet based TOEFL (IBT) 69

All students are required to complete a comprehensive level test on arrival at USC, even if English test results have been supplied.

An additional application fee of A$150 applies to all English Language Program applications. The fee is payable once per application (extensions exempt).

Notes
  1. * Tuition fees are reviewed each calendar year. The fee you must pay for a given semester is that which has been approved by USC for the calendar year within which the semester falls.
  2. The increase in tuition fees from one calendar year to the next will be no more than 10 percent.
  3. All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (A$).
  4. Tuition fees quoted do not include visa application fees.
