How to defer your offer

QTAC applicants

If you receive a QTAC offer of a place in an undergraduate degree program, you are eligible to defer your place for up to two years.

If you decide to defer your offer, you must advise the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) and Student Administration of your decision.

Further details about how to defer are available in the offer material sent to you by the University.

Direct applicants

If you receive a direct offer of a place in an undergraduate degree program following completion of the Tertiary Preparation Pathway, you must advise Student Administration if you decide to defer your place. You are eligible to defer your place for up to two years.

Please refer to the 'Getting Started at USC' Guide included in your offer material for instructions on how to do this.

Postgraduate and Honours applicants

From Semester 2, 2011, the deferral option is not available to students who are offered a place in either a postgraduate or Honours program.

How to take up your deferred place

When you are ready to take up your deferred place at a later time, simply submit an application directly to the University of the Sunshine Coast.

If you would like to apply for a different undergraduate program, you are required to re-apply through Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC).
