Study in Gympie

USC off-campus study hub located at Gympie TAFE

The University is building a A$5.5 million facility at Gympie, co-located on the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE campus on Cartwright Road. Construction is expected to be completed during Semester 1, 2013, however the University will be teaching in Gympie by the start of Semester 1.

An initiative of the Australian Government, under the Education Investment Fund, USC's facilities will include a 75-seat lecture theatre, tutorial rooms for 30–50 people, staff offices, study areas for students and interactive learning technology connecting with USC's Sippy Downs campus.

The Tertiary Preparation Pathway program is currently offered at the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE Gympie campus and James Nash State High School, although not all TPP courses are available.

Please note: Studying at Gympie is not available to international students on a Student Visa.

The Wide Bay Institute of TAFE (WBIT) Gympie campus is located just over one hour's drive north of the University’s Sippy Downs campus. To view the location of the Gympie TAFE and proximity to other USC study locations refer to the Google map.

The Gympie TAFE campus (refer to the WBIT campus map) offers the following facilities:

  • student canteen
  • restaurant
  • free parking

Students studying in Gympie also have access to learning facilities at James Nash State High School (refer to the James Nash SHS map).

Transport

USC currently provides a shuttle bus service for students from Gympie and Cooroy. The once-daily service departs from Gympie (via Cooroy) and arrives at the University campus at Sippy Downs about 7.45am each week day of semester and departs USC about 5.10pm.

Study at South Bank

Southbank Institute of Technology

USC and the Southbank Institute of Technology have partnered to offer students the opportunity to study three of USC's most popular degrees at South Bank in Brisbane.

The Institute's students will be able to apply for credit transfer to fast-track their studies to gain a university qualification.

Students undertaking study at Caboolture will attend lectures and tutorials delivered by the University's highly qualified staff. Students generally attend one lecture and tutorial per course, per week.

Transport and parking

The Caboolture Hub is located only a short three minute walk from the Caboolture Railway Station. Free all-day parking is available in the multi-level car park adjacent to the Caboolture Hub. The four-level car park complex offers entry from the underground car park or at the ground level main foyer entrance from the Town Square. Lifts are available to all levels.

Study in Noosa

The USC Noosa CentreAs the Sunshine Coast expands and develops, more students are choosing to study closer to home and develop industry links in their local area.

Students undertaking study at USC Noosa will attend lectures and tutorials delivered by the University's highly qualified staff. Students generally attend one lecture and tutorial per course, per week.

USC Noosa is a convenient study location, offering a number of business courses and a COR course. The Tertiary Preparation Pathway program is also offered at USC Noosa, although not all TPP courses are available. USC Noosa is 40 minutes north of the University's campus.

Please note: Studying at Noosa is not available to international students.

Students complete the core and foundation courses at the USC Noosa. The remainder of the degree is completed on campus. The option to study at USC Noosa is not available to international students on a Student visa.
