Description AANRO Australian agriculture and natural resources knowledge base contains close to 180,000 detailed descriptions of research projects and documents and includes the ABOA, Streamline and ARRIP archive.

There are five components to the knowledge base:
  • current research project descriptions: about 6,000 records
  • current publications and documents: about 7,000 records published since 2002 all with abstract summaries and over 90 percent have a link to electronic full text, a website or an availability note on how to obtain copies
  • research archive: about 15,000 completed research projects
  • document archive: about 150,000 older publications
  • a searchable gateway to other trusted web resources
About 1,500 new research projects and 5,000 documents are added to the knowledge base each year. This core information is drawn from the primary industries, agriculture and natural resources government agencies across Australia.
