A searchable database of full-text reviews of current books and some popular films, videos, and software as well as comparative reviews of books in psychology and related disciplines. PsycCRITIQUES replaced the print edition of Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books in 2005.
There is a focus on current books—most new reviews are of books in current year. Also includes tables of contents for recent weekly releases. Includes links from full-text of review to the PsycINFO record for the reviewed work, as well as links to all reviews by reviewer. Indexed using the vocabulary of Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms.
