Development Office
The Development Office was established in 1998 to assist the University in its development and enhancement by garnering donor support and providing valuable networking opportunities for alumni, community members, and friends of the University.
The key activities of the Development Office are:
- assisting alumni and friends to maintain contact with each other and the University
- building strong relationships with the community
- increasing donor support for University initiatives
- reporting the progress of this support and how it aids the University's development
Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Greg Hill, and Foundation Chair, John M Dobson OAM, work with a group of dedicated volunteers, including the University Foundation Board, to build long-term relationships with the community and advise on Foundation initiatives and activities.
The Development Office's first major fundraising campaign, Building Excellence, surpassed its $5 million goal to support USC’s Health and Sport Centre, scholarships and bursaries, and campus enhancement.
In 2012, the Development Office is launching the USC Starfish Program, a giving program for staff, alumni and the community.
