Executive Projects Unit

Role

The Executive Projects Unit (EPU) provides support for the Vice-Chancellor and President and Executive in achieving USC’s strategic goals.

Functions

EPU has five broad functions:

Higher education policy analysis

This includes the preparation of strategic reports and management of higher education policy consultations.

Strategic projects

This involves conducting selected major projects that advance USC’s institutional profile, reputation and performance. These projects are related to funding submissions and/or strategic initiatives of the Vice-Chancellor and President, and Executive.

Major funding submissions

This involves leadership and management of the processes that are necessary to prepare and submit significant funding applications that involve a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Liaison and Networks

This includes connections with government, various agencies, and consultants, and maintenance of professional networks.

Communication

This involves assisting the Vice-Chancellor and President, and Executive, with formal systems and processes of communcation as well as informal communication on matters relevant to the activities of the EPU.
