Rachel initially worked in the field of Leisure Management in Noosa and moved into education as Director of Summer School at a tertiary college in England. She lived in England for several years teaching English as a second language as well as academic language and study skills at Keele University.
After returning to Australia, for six years Rachel taught students preparing for IELTS and Cambridge English exams at a private language college in Noosa, and provided small group tuition for undergraduate Marketing students at USC.
Since 2008 Rachel has worked as an IELTS Examiner at the University of Queensland and in mid 2010 joined Queensland University of Technology. More recently she has commenced private practice as a Holistic Counsellor.
Rachel joined Student Services as an Academic Skills Adviser in Semester 2, 2010 and provides individual consultations on academic writing and study skills.
