About the Library
The mission of the University of the Sunshine Coast Library is to provide quality services and collections that support the teaching, research and scholarship activities of the University. The Library has a policy of open access to the collections for study and research.
The Client Service Charter establishes the foundations for our relationship with library clients.
Library collections include both print and electronic resources available on and off-campus. The Collection Development Policy provides the framework for maintaining a relevant, dynamic collection. During semester the Library is open seven days a week, with reduced hours in inter-semester breaks and summer and winter semesters. The library catalogue and online databases are available 24/7.
The Library building offers a range of study spaces, including silent, individual and group study, quiet areas, wireless laptop, an Information Commons and two computer labs.
The Information Literacy Strategy provides a framework and direction for the processes, initiatives and programs for the strategic and systematic development of information literacy for USC graduates.
The Library Research Support Strategy defines its key role in providing resources, professional advice and training to the university's research community and in the management of USC research output.
Gifts to the Library, both large and small, augment our annual budget for the acquisition of library materials. The Library accepts donations of funds or books to supplement our collections.
