University of the Sunshine Coast accounting graduates have 100 per cent success rate in securing jobs in the industry.

The USC accounting course ensures graduates have a detailed and up-to-date understanding of the industry combined with the personal skills needed to provide top level service to clients.

USC accounting graduates are in high demand, with several employers contacting the University when looking for staff.

University of the Sunshine Coast graduate Michelle Joubert successfully secured a position with the global company PricewaterhouseCoopers after completing a Bachelor of Business (Accounting).

Ms Joubert applied for a position with the international company and was among the best accounting graduates from several universities who made it through the selection process.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has more than 120,000 employees worldwide, 5,000 of those based in Australia.

Ms Joubert works in their Brisbane offices as a Corporate Tax consultant.

"Tax is a challenging area to work in. Laws relating to tax are continually being updated and changed," Ms Joubert said.

"There is a constant need to improve your knowledge and skills in order to serve your clients to the best of your ability."

Ms Joubert says she benefited from the 'cutting-edge' knowledge provided by the University of the Sunshine Coast.

"What you learn is current and not outdated by the time you graduate," she said.

"The University's smaller tutorial groups mean you have a lot more personal contact with lecturers and tutors, particularly in areas of difficulty in various courses," Ms Joubert said.
