University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) Deputy Vice-Chancellor,
Professor Paul Clark, has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of the
Southern Cross University.

University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) Deputy Vice-Chancellor,
Professor Paul Clark, has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of the
Southern Cross University.
USC Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Thomas, said Professor Clark
had played an outstanding role during an important development
phase for USC in the four years he has spent there and his
contribution to the University will be greatly missed.
"I am sure I speak on behalf of all staff and students in
congratulating Professor Clark and wishing him well in his new
position," Professor Thomas said.
Professor Clark will take over the reigns at Southern Cross
University on August 30 and will be based at their Lismore
campus.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the University of the
Sunshine Coast as Deputy Vice-Chancellor and I look forward to the
challenges ahead as Vice-Chancellor of a university with 12,000
students studying at three campuses," Professor Clark said.
The Chancellor of Southern Cross University, the Hon Justice
John Dowd said he was delighted with the strong field of applicants
and was fortunate in securing a person of the calibre of Professor
Clark to the position.
Justice Dowd cited Professor Clark's experience within a
regional university and close collaboration with the community as
reasons for his appointment to Vice-Chancellor.
