Friday crucial for study in 2006

This Friday, December 16, is the last day to apply through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) for the January offer round of university places and the last day for non-school leavers to change their preferences.

OP (overall position) scores for school leavers will also be posted out on Friday prompting many to change their preferred degree of study for 2006, depending on how well they went.

The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) continues to experience a strong increase in the number of people applying to study in 2006 (27.5 percent increase in first preferences recorded for the week of December 8) and Student Administration staff are on hand to help anyone who needs advice on changing their preference or how to apply to begin studying in 2006.

A special information session is also being held at the University on the evening of December 21 for school leavers who want to change their preference and make the most of their OP score. Call 5459 4558 to book your place.

While choosing the right degree is important, degrees at USC are flexible enough to change with your ambitions and areas of interest.

Many students begin studying in one area only to end up graduating in a completely different area because they were able to explore the range of courses across all three faculties and find their passion.
