Workshops focus on weight and health

The first of five health promotion workshops at the University
of the Sunshine Coast is being held Monday June 20, and the focus
will be on 'Obesity or Health at Every Size: Strategies for
change'.
Facilitated by Lily O'Hara and Jane Gregg from the Faculty of
Science, Health and Education workshop participants will discuss a
range of issues related to people's weight.
They will learn about the accuracy, validity and health outcomes
of current programs focused on addressing overweight and
obesity.
Participants will develop strategies for 'health at every size'
for use in their personal or professional lives.
The workshop costs $160 including lunch and refreshments is for
people working with or interested in the current focus on people's
weight, including people working in health, nutrition, dietetics,
medicine, education or childcare, as well as parents, carers and
the general public.
Be quick to book as workshop places are limited.
