Courses for Careers Day a huge success

USC's 2005 Courses for Careers Day was a resounding success.
Thousands of visitors made the most of the day to discover what is on offer at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Many local high school students and their parents visited to find out more about the range of degrees available at USC and career outcomes on graduation.
People interested in returning to study also made the trip to USC on Sunday to talk to lecturers and staff about career options and how university study would fit with their family life.
Many locals are taking advantage of having USC right on their doorstep and making the decision to change their life and career through a USC degree.
There was a lot of interest in our Education and Nursing degrees and Communications, Marketing and Sports Science were also popular, and lecturers across all three faculties were kept busy answering questions.
Information about new programs for 2006 was keenly snapped up and people were queuing outside lecture theatres to make sure they didn't miss out on the information sessions.
Staff were kept busy with inquiries about how to apply, university life, social activities, scholarships and student support services.
Applications for study in 2006 opened the following day.
