Counselling and Human Services are just two of the new degrees being offered by the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2006.

A workshop was held at the University to present these new Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences degrees to industry professionals.

The Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling) and the Bachelor of Human Services will complement the existing Bachelor of Social Science (Community Work) and are will offer graduates a range of employment opportunities in child protection, aged and disabilities services, social policy, planning and research, welfare and youth work.

The workshop provided the opportunity for University staff to network with industry professionals, discuss options for student industry placements and future employment opportunities for graduates.
