USC prepares for Graduation 2006
13 April, 2006
The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) will celebrate its eighth annual graduation ceremony next Thursday, 20 April.
This year's event will hold special significance as USC celebrates its tenth anniversary during 2006.
More than 700 students are eligible for graduation this year and of those, more than 450 will be graduating on the night in front of proud family and friends.
The ceremony marks the end of years of hard work for both undergraduate and postgraduate students as they receive their degrees and join the ranks of USC's alumni, which now numbers almost 4000.
Other awards include recognition of staff for outstanding teaching and research, Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor medallists, and Honorary Doctorates and Honorary Senior Fellows.
The gala event will end with celebrations on campus for graduates and guests.
