Image of student writing results from noticeboard With mid-year university applications open through QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre) on Wednesday 12 April, the University is hosting a free information session for people interested in returning to study and completing a university degree.

USC staff and students will host an interactive workshop that explores issues relevant to students returning to formal education after a period of absence.

The evening is particularly aimed at mature age people (those aged over 21 years) who are interested in undertaking study at university level for the first time.

Detailed information will be supplied on application processes, tips on improving tertiary eligibility, recognition of prior learning and work experience, and alternative entry pathways to university.

Information will also be supplied on the wide range of degrees available at USC.

Workshop attendees will be able to ask questions of administrative and academic staff and current mature age students will be on hand to discuss how they have managed the demands of study, work and family life.

The session is free and open to all interested people, but bookings are essential as numbers fill quickly.

Contact kpage@usc.edu.au or phone (07) 5459 4558 to secure your place and plan your future direction.
