Five days, 3600 students and 22 schools from Noosa to Morayfield and everywhere in between - that is the 2006 University Showcase.

The University of the Sunshine Coast has organised the showcase to present high school students with every option for future study and career development.

USC has invited eight other universities, TAFEs and the Defence Force to ensure the region's students are well informed showcase coordinator Kylie McKenzie said.

"It is important that the students have access to all the tertiary study options available to them, so they can make informed decisions about their future," Ms McKenzie.

The travelling showcase, visiting schools from March 27 to 31 provides students with a range of information about admissions, tertiary study costs, accommodation options and university life in general.

"And students can speak directly to exhibitors to find out more about specific degrees.

"Trying to compare options is difficult and students and their parents face some very important decisions in coming months and no doubt have lots of questions.

"Bringing all the exhibitors to the region will create a one-stop-shop for students interested in tertiary study. They can see it all in one place in one day," Ms McKenzie said.

The University Showcase will travel from Noosa in the north to Morayfield in the south and inland to Kilcoy and Woodford.
