Gallery pays tribute to dedicated volunteers
The University of the Sunshine Coast Gallery has paid tribute to some of its long-standing and dedicated volunteers with a morning tea celebration at the gallery.
Gwenda Heginbotham, Elizabeth Miers, Marion Robinson, Val Morrison, Marjorie Cox and Norma Uhlmann all received gifts for 10 years service to the gallery.
Gallery Curator Dawn Oelrich said the gallery benefited greatly from the help received from about 50 volunteers.
“They meet and greet visitors, assist with exhibitions installations, help out at functions and with fundraising,” she said.
The University Gallery is situated on campus and presents a range of exhibitions throughout the teaching year.
There is no entrance fee and the public is welcome.
