Fraser Island camp for new USC students
The University of the Sunshine Coast will soon hold a special weekend Orientation camp on Fraser Island for new students enrolled to start at USC next semester.
The camp at USC’s Dilli Village Environmental Education Camp from Friday 13 July to Sunday 15 July is available to the hundreds of students who plan to start study later this month.
The camp will feature bushwalking, visiting the island’s freshwater lakes, swimming, fishing, bird-watching and spending time getting to know other students and lecturers.
Accommodation, meals and transport to and from Fraser Island are included in the cost, and bookings can be made through the University’s Student Services.
The camp will follow three days of Orientation activities from Tuesday 10 July, including an official welcome for all new students at the USC campus at 10am Wednesday 11 July.
Students will receive program information and study tips, tour the USC campus and take part in library and computer network tutorials. Other activities will include free lunches and entertainment, market stalls and fun sporting events.
The University of the Sunshine Coast has this month made offers of places to 447 new students, the largest number of mid-year offers ever.
