Enterprise Tuesday increases odds of business success
A crowd of more than 70 people are expected to attend tomorrow’s Enterprise Tuesday event at the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Innovation Centre to learn how to boost their chances of business success.
Enterprise Tuesday is a free program of early evening events, from 4-6pm, which are open to the local business community and to staff and students at USC and other educational institutions.
Each monthly event includes a presentation by a successful entrepreneur and an opportunity to network and meet new people.
The Innovation Centre’s Business Incubator manager Nigel Hall will make a presentation tomorrow on “Increasing the odds” of business success by creating a winning team and by understanding your customers.
Mr Hall has had extensive experience in starting and growing businesses in Europe, the United States, South Africa and Australia, and he has helped raise more than $160 million for these businesses along the way.
He has been CEO of several businesses including a telecommunications business, HighwayOne, which he grew from two to 200 people in 18 months.
Mr Hall also was the managing director of Equator Investments Pty Ltd, a venture capital advisory and seed capital provider in Cape Town, South Africa.
Enterprise Program manager Alison Dique said the Enterprise Tuesday program had become very popular, with numbers almost doubling since the first event was held in July.
“The Enterprise Tuesday series is a great way for the local business community, University students and staff to mix and to get to know each other and it has already sparked some great connections,” she said.
