Students limber up for Great Court Race

Great Court Race contestants await the starter's gun

20 March 2007

The University of the Sunshine Coast will hold its popular Great Court Race tomorrow (Wednesday 21 March) at 1.30pm.

The race was to be run last month as part of USC’s Orientation program but was postponed twice due to wet weather.

This is a serious event for serious runners with cash prizes donated by ANZ Bank at Chancellor Park and Subway for first, second and third females and males across the line.

Cash prizes are $125 for first, $75 for second and $50 for third and entry to the event is free (restricted to new USC students).

The winners also will receive the Dean Van der Helm Memorial Shield which will be presented by Dean’s family.

Entry to the race is only open to new USC students. They will line up for the start near the USC Brasserie.
