Nursing Science is USC’s most popular degree

11 January 2007

The University of the Sunshine Coast’s decision to introduce a new Bachelor of Nursing Science this year has been justified, with the program going straight to the top of the University’s most sought-after undergraduate degree list.

USC has places for 205 students in Nursing Science for Semester 1, 2007, and that number is expected to comprise 181 undergraduate students and 24 graduate entry students following offers made by QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Scheme) today.

A total of 2161 people were today offered places in degree programs at the University of the Sunshine Coast starting Semester 1, 2007, and the figure is set to climb with a second round of offers being made on February 1.

Eighty percent of successful QTAC applicants who wanted to study at USC received their first preferences.

The 2161 offers for places at USC include 1451 offers to Sunshine Coast applicants, 227 to Brisbane residents, 248 from other areas of Queensland and 225 from interstate.
