Summit to focus on Sunshine Coast's growth
The future development and growth of the Sunshine Coast will be high on the agenda at the fourth annual State of the Region Summit at the University of the Sunshine Coast tomorrow (Thursday 6 November) from 9am to 5pm.
The 2008 St George Bank State of the Region Summit, with the theme “Big Region … Big Plans”, will bring together 240 major decision-makers, researchers and strategists from public and private sectors to discuss major issues facing the Sunshine Coast.
Keynote speaker will be Queensland Water Infrastructure chief executive officer Graeme Newton, while the final session will feature a hypothetical panel discussion of “How big can’t we go?”.
Summit coordinator David Gration said the event also would feature the presentation of data concerning the region’s demographic and economic trends, as well as the release of new research reports on the Coast’s economy and infrastructure needs.
The 2008 St George Bank State of the Region Summit Sunshine Coast has been sponsored by St George Bank, Investa, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Munro Thompson Lawyers and the University of the Sunshine Coast.
