USC to offer Executive MBA in 2009
The University of the Sunshine Coast will next year offer an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) that has been designed to suit busy executives.
This new study program will be delivered through intensive weekend classes once a month for two years and will only be open to students with substantial work experience.
USC’s Dean of Business Professor Evan Douglas said the Executive MBA program would provide a powerful learning environment, using computer-based simulations and problem-solving activities to challenge skills, attitudes and beliefs.
“EMBA participants will be given the opportunity to develop their strategic thinking, leadership skills and competencies in areas such as marketing, accounting, financial management and economics,” he said.
More details about the EMBA and other postgraduate Business programs at USC will be outlined at a special information evening at the University from 6pm tomorrow (Wednesday 26 November).
Professor Douglas will make a presentation about the study programs and discuss the benefits of postgraduate study for career advancement. Those attending will be encouraged to ask questions and talk one-on-one with Faculty of Business staff.
Bookings for the information evening are essential by contacting USC’s Faculty of Business events coordinator Julie Flanagan on (07) 5459 4608 or via email at <Jflanaga@usc.edu.au>.
